Yuma had listened to the non-conversation between Brigitte and Incrinew.

He was considerably angered.

It was anger towards Incrinew, who had issued oracles through the saint merely for his own amusement, to watch the process of humans losing their humanity.

The three that Incrinew had first placed on his scales.

Brigitte, Cloney, Bell.

Yuma quite liked all three of them.

The notification window that appeared when he first fell into this world.

The one that said to [Clear] this world.

They were just the right beings to be companions for the journey towards that [Clear].

A genius of magic.

A genius of the sword.

And the empire’s princess.

Apart from the oracle, they were three perfectly suited to Yuma’s purpose.

And he liked all three of them as humans too.

Because they didn’t give up.

Born as a witch’s daughter, she didn’t lose hope.

Crushed under the karma of her clan, she didn’t despair.
Pushed back in the imperial succession, she didn’t lose heart.

Yet, a god had appeared who dared to try to crush these companions solely for his own amusement.

A god trying to shatter the journey they had walked together until now.

That wasn’t something that could be tolerated, even if it was a god.

And Yuma had seen the possibility of killing that god.

He had realized that possibility into success.

Clang─

Yuma picked up the golden pouch that had fallen to the floor.

It was on the spot where Incrinew had been just moments ago.

He quickly checked the pouch with his [Observing Eye].

[Divine Pouch]

A subspace pouch carried by gods.

It meant it was the subspace pouch Incrinew had been using.

Whoosh

Yuma unhesitatingly put that divine pouch into his own subspace pouch.

And he also put [Balmung], the Sword of Lamentation and Annihilation that had fallen to the floor, into his subspace pouch.

Ding─!

After collecting the dead god’s belongings, a notification sound rang in his head.

tip!

⚙ System Notification ⚙

You have defeated the Evil God – ‘Anguished Mercy-Incrinew’!

You can break away from being an ordinary person by elevating your physical rank.

You have defeated one of the Eight Evil Gods! You can get closer to clearing by defeating all Eight Evil Gods!

The first tip was something he already intuitively knew.

The important one was the second tip.

Eight Evil Gods.

Something new had popped up again.

However, it was clearly information necessary for clearing.

Although the fact that he had to kill seven more gods felt daunting, it was better than not knowing.

‘Just what are you?’

System.

An individual, or an organization?

If the purpose was to kill evil gods, was it created by a being at the opposite end of evil gods?

An adversary?

Or was killing evil gods just a secondary task?

There wasn’t even enough of a sample to make inferences yet.

Whether the achievement was completed, whether there was a reward, he couldn’t know now.

As always, it would probably update after he slept and woke up.

Drip…

Yuma stared at the sweat stain that had flowed down his chin and fallen to the ground.

‘I’m tired.’

Mental strength.

Concentration.

He had poured all of that out more fiercely than at any other time since being summoned to this world.

It was natural that extreme fatigue was weighing down on his body.

Yuma turned his body.

And only then did he realize.

That everyone’s gaze was directed at him.

◇◇◇◆◇◇◇

First Prince Schwarze had watched everything.

And he gave up.

When Incrinew’s power, [Conclusion], had permeated the entire area around the temple.

At that moment, he gave up on everything about life.

But that man, Yuma, didn’t give up until the very end.

‘He… killed a god.’

If he were to grab someone after leaving this temple and speak, it would be a story that would make them say not to talk nonsense.

But that was reality.

The God of War Yuma had killed a god.

He stared at Princess Brigitte, who had such a man by her side.

He had thought she was an unreasonable existence receiving the halo of a god.

However, she was receiving the halo of an existence even greater than a god.

The halo of a God Slayer.

“…Haa.”

He couldn’t help but sigh as if his energy was being drained.

An intense odor wafted as he opened his mouth, which had been tightly shut under the pressure of Incrinew’s divine energy.

Emperor.

Schwarze thought about that great name.

In her conversation with Yuma, Brigitte had answered like that.

That she didn’t want to let Cloney and Bell die.

Not the option of one of them dying.

That if she could die instead, she would rather die.

‘I.’

Could never make such a choice.

Schwarze knew his own capacity.

‘If I were in that position, I would have let one of them die.’

Schwarze himself knew.

He hadn’t suddenly become impressed or repentant.

He had become terribly disappointed in himself.

As a result, his motivation had hit rock bottom.

Ambition that had hit rock bottom once was not easily refilled.

The blonde prince, Schwarze, slowly raised his body.

Barely calming his trembling legs, he walked in front of Brigitte.

The oracle’s seat.

And he knelt before it.

“I’ve lost.”

And he continued speaking.

“It seems you, not I, are the one suited to be the Emperor of this Astes. Brigitte.”

“…Brother.”

Brigitte felt sincerity in Schwarze’s words.

It wasn’t words uttered under the pressure of fear or atmosphere.

Schwarze slowly raised his body.

“I’ll see your coronation ceremony. Yes… Duke Balzac. May I stay in your territory for a while? I’d like to feel the intensity of the north.”

Duke Balzac, who had just barely composed himself, leaned against the white pillar of the temple and burst into laughter.

“The north doesn’t stop warriors who come.”

Balzac shifted his gaze from Prince Schwarze to Yuma.

‘The God of War… has become not just a title, but truly a God of War.’

Conclusion.

He had been incapacitated by just a ‘line’, a speck of that world.

Yet that man had shattered the world of conclusion that had been thickly spread.

‘The peak of martial arts….’

The will to say he wanted to fight once, which he had until just before Incrinew descended, had completely died.

The gap.

With a gap that large, it was obvious the match would be decided in a single exchange with his defeat.

Balzac slowly raised his body.

The pain was still continuing.

Although he had applied emergency treatment with potions, he needed to receive healing magic quickly.

“Kairos, let’s go. With this, the next emperor has been decided, hasn’t it?”

Sweat dripped down Kairos’s brown hair.

It wasn’t a situation that could be endured with the body of a middle-aged man close to becoming an old man.

He was in a half-dazed state.

Marquis Kairos spoke stutteringly.

“…God of War… I will absolutely not divulge what I saw today anywhere.”

Kairos bowed his head deeply towards Yuma, who was walking towards Brigitte, Cloney, and Bell, without even paying attention to the nobles.

Very deeply.

It was a show of respect for the one who had killed a god.

Balzac gave a bitter smile.

“Where would you go to divulge it? Who would believe it? I’ll see you next time. Your Highness.”

Duke Balzac, Marquis Kairos, and Prince Schwarze moved together to the teleport space.

Yuma bent his left knee to lower his body to meet Brigitte’s eyes.

“Are you alright?”

“…Yuma, you always exceed my expectations.”

Yuma inwardly agreed.

This incident had far exceeded his own expectations too.

Brigitte suddenly raised her right hand and poked Yuma’s right cheek.

“What are you doing?”

At Yuma’s words, Brigitte smiled slightly.

“I was checking if you were human… What you’ve done. It’s something absolutely impossible for a human to do.”

Then, she spread her right hand and caressed Yuma’s cheek.

“Thank you, Yuma.”

Brigitte, as if all strength had left her body, didn’t get up but lay down right there on the oracle’s seat.

“…The demon army. They said they would invade the continent in 5 months. And with millions.”

Brigitte recalled what Incrinew had said.

Yuma slowly nodded.

“We’ll stop them.”

Brigitte smiled faintly again at those words that sounded so matter-of-fact.

Although Yuma spoke as if asserting that they could stop it, his thoughts were different.

‘If it’s a continental invasion, they’ll come from the sea too. The same for mountainous areas. Should we seek cooperation from other races?’

He was very quickly calculating about the battle with the demon army.

It was a calculation for survival.

Cloney walked briskly in front of Yuma.

“I… belong to Yuma’s things too, right?”

Cloney’s golden eyes stared directly at Yuma.

For a moment, Yuma thought, what nonsense is this little one talking about─

The last moment when he killed the god, Incrinew.

Yuma recalled the words he had uttered with his own mouth.

-Because you coveted what’s mine.

Cloney had clearly remembered and engraved Yuma’s words in her mind even in that chaotic situation.

Eyes shining brightly.

To the black-haired, golden-eyed girl, confirming the truth of those words seemed to be the most important thing right now.

“…Yes.”

Yuma had no choice but to respond to that courtship that wasn’t courtship.

Because those eyes were so desperate.

“That’s all I needed.”

Cloney smiled broadly and then stepped back.

The swordswoman with blue hair and pink eyes, Bell, slowly approached in front of Yuma.

Unlike the attitude she had shown until now, with a bit of distance as if.

“Why did you bring me? Really.”

It was a very fundamental question.

“While possessing such power, while being able to unfold such a sword path.”

This time too, only Bell had vaguely seen it.

Yuma’s movement.

The only gap in the world of conclusion, the black and white world.

Bell had seen the movement that shattered the god’s power by finding that small light.

While she couldn’t even recognize that light.

Yuma had found that single ray of light as if it were natural.

“While being able to… even kill a god.”

And he killed a god.

“You really just brought me because of the oracle, didn’t you?”

Yuma placed his hand on the hilt of the sword that Bell was gripping tightly.

“You will certainly become a greater swordsman than me.”

“…What?”

“You’ll become far greater than someone like me. Your talent is saying that. Your effort is saying that. The very fact that you’ve walked bearing that karma is saying that.”

To those words that were close to deception.

Yet infinitely warm words.

Bell lost any more words to say.

“Let’s go.”

Yuma slowly raised his body.

“I’m quite tired.”

Hestia followed behind Yuma, twitching her cat ears.

“Yes! Lord Yuma, you should rest if you’re tired!”

She couldn’t help but use honorifics.

Yuma abruptly stopped his steps that were hurrying towards the outside of the temple.

The saint who had just lost the god she had served was trembling.

They should have given some aftermath..bro for mc..like even after killing the gad he should’ve gotten some after effects..like trembling hand or fainting or bleeding from mouth…to show us the severity of situation

In most games with parrying a perfect parry means zero damage received, so he should actually be fine.
It’s nonsensical but the alternative (that some of the Literal God’s attack bled through the parry and onto his level 40 ass and he somehow survived…) would be even more nonsensical.
It’s funny because the author also seems to be struggling to decide whether MC takes damage or not as well – since they wrote in that skill about not faltering from pain or whatever the wording on the skill was. So it seems like he is taking damage through parries since there’s a skill to mitigate the pain… but then he somehow survived the attack from God so it feels like the author forgot or changed their mind.
