My dude, I am just as confused as you are. That synopsis came from the raws though.
As for the meaning, I think it refers to the gag of characters authors keep saying will die but they outlive most of the other characters as the story goes on.
Just for other folks checking in, based on what I have read so far, he’s not “terminally ill” at all. He just has a super ability that consumes his life force every time he uses it.
No trust me, he’s just an immortal zombie from reverend insanity.
So far its much more fun and wholesome than i thought it would be
