Jeong Yoo-shin, 23 years old, was suddenly transported to another world.

In this world, not only was it impossible to return home, but even survival was uncertain.

Black-haired humans were called Barbarian’s and treated as northern savages.

There was only one place where he could gain the strength to survive and find a way to return home, the Great Labyrinth.

β€œI must become stronger to survive. And I will definitely go back.”

This is the story of a black-haired human’s fierce struggle for survival in the labyrinth.

a barbarian, a redhead cat girl and a story that takes place in a labyrinth? looks oddly similar to the ‘surviving the game as a barbarian’ manhwa/novel

I’ve seen that novel floating around for some time but never had the chance to read it. Is it good? How does it compare to this one?

Read it. I MTL the rest, probably lost some story though. Great story, a bit slowed through some arcs but great overall.

Eh its ok, but towards the end it deviates into another cliched harem. I also dont like how the power scales in that novel, it was great at the beginning, but after Mc started going after the game mechanics and obtaining cheat level abilities, the fights become one sided. The overall atmosphere as a barbarian in the beginning also got lost in the story

Well, if it was you, would you just give up looking for a way back home if you saw at first glance there was no way back?

For your other question, most of these fantasy novels are based on western fantasy which in itself was based on medieval europe where black hair and eyes were pretty rare.

this is a 10/10 gem

Honestly anything that does not have that crutch of a status window makes it 7/10 at least. Paired with a rare weak-to-strong development in the sea of cheat OP MCs, its an automatic 8/10

I disagree. I’ve read up to ch 17, but the plot so far feels really generic. Like the others have suggested, its another dime a dozen barbarian cliche. 7/10
