“I’m Eilly Cassier!”

As if a switch had been flipped, Eilly stepped forward at Elisha’s words, her demeanor confident and assertive, like a knight entering the arena.

She lifted her chin and spoke, her voice clear and strong.

“I’m Master’s maid, his constant companion, his indispensable attendant.”

She emphasized her words, puffing out her chest slightly, her actions a clear display of dominance, her gaze sweeping over Elisha and Melina, asserting her position.

Her message was clear: I am always by Master’s side. I am the closest to him.

“As someone who has devoted her entire life to serving Master, I am an indispensable part of his existence.”

Eilly’s bold declaration hung in the air, and Melina stepped forward, unable to remain silent.

She tossed her long golden hair over her shoulder and responded in a soft, yet firm, voice.

“As I said before, I’m Melina.”

Melina, unfazed by Eilly’s assertive display, calmly took her turn, her eyes filled with a quiet confidence and unwavering conviction.

“Arnold is my destined savior. This isn’t just a belief; it’s a prophecy.”

Her words, calm yet powerful, resonated through the room.

“You could say that Arnold and I are bound by fate.”

Melina’s voice was steady, her words carrying a weight that went beyond mere rivalry. Her declaration was a challenge to both Eilly and Elisha.

“Huh?”

Elisha scoffed and glared at the other two, her expression hardening, her displeasure evident at their attempts to stake their claim on him.

“…But I’m different.”

She bit her lip, fidgeting slightly, then spoke, unable to hold back any longer.

“As I mentioned before, Arnold and I are engaged.”

Elisha stepped forward, forcing a smile, trying to hide her nervousness.

She emphasized the word engaged.

“Arnold and I are bound by a connection forged in childhood.”

Elisha’s declaration shifted the atmosphere in the room once more.

Eilly and Melina turned their gazes towards her. Elisha, basking in their attention, continued,

“Of course, there were some… misunderstandings in the past… but I believe we’ve moved past them.”

She looked at Eilly and Melina, her gaze firm and unwavering.

“Therefore, I am the woman most suited to be with Arnold.”

The air in the room crackled with tension, their claims clashing, the atmosphere growing heavy, like the calm before the storm.

“Hold on!”

Their voices rose, their emotions escalating.

He watched them, his lips twisting into a grimace, his mind racing, trying to figure out how to resolve this conflict.

“What, am I wrong?”

Elisha’s chest puffed out as she spoke, her words a proud declaration, but it was immediately met with objections.

“I’m the one who’s most suited to be with Master! I’ve been with him the longest!”

Eilly exclaimed, her eyes shining, her voice firm and resolute.

“Fate is inevitable. I’m the only rightful partner for Arnold!”

Melina tossed her hair over her shoulder, her voice soft but firm, her words echoing through the room with unwavering conviction.

Their voices overlapped, the argument escalating.

“Haha… But telling me this doesn’t really change anything…”

Lucy, caught in the crossfire, chuckled awkwardly, her expression a mix of amusement and a desire to stay out of the conflict.

“Guys, calm down…”

Varis spoke up wearily from the corner of the room, seemingly resigned to the chaotic atmosphere, his face etched with exhaustion rather than surprise.

“Ugh, do you really think a maid can be anything more than a servant?”

Elisha sneered at Eilly, her question sharp and pointed, making Eilly flinch.

“Th-That’s…! Lady Elisha, haven’t you committed unforgivable sins?”

Eilly retorted, her voice trembling, but her gaze unwavering, her defiance clear.

“Then wouldn’t I be the best match for him, since I have no such baggage?”

Melina chimed in, smiling gracefully, drawing their attention. But Elisha simply smirked and retorted,

“Melina… You have no reason to be by Arnold’s side other than your so-called destiny, do you?”

“What did you say?!”

Melina’s voice echoed through the room, her eyes flashing dangerously, as if ready to draw her bow. She stepped towards Elisha, her gaze hostile.

“Hmph…!”

Elisha didn’t back down, her arms crossed, a haughty smile on her face, but a sharp tension in her eyes.

The air between them crackled, the atmosphere in the room explosive.

Just then, the door burst open, and another voice filled the room.

“What’s all this commotion?”

They all turned their heads towards the door, where a woman with a stern expression stood, her red eyes sharp and piercing, her hair pulled back in a high ponytail.

“Professor?”

It was Professor Adria. She frowned, scanning the room.

“Teammates arguing amongst themselves before we even begin? What is the meaning of this?”

Her sharp voice echoed through the room, and Melina and Elisha’s shoulders slumped, deflated like punctured balloons.

They knew Professor Adria’s reputation for strictness. Her reprimand was accurate and irrefutable.

“Don’t you realize that unnecessary conflict only creates problems for everyone?”

She continued, her gaze sweeping over the two of them.

“You should be focusing on resolving your misunderstandings and working together. What do you think you’ll gain from fighting like this?”

Eilly, Melina, and Elisha finally looked at each other, their expressions still strained, but the immediate threat of violence seemed to have subsided.

“…You’re right, Professor. I got a little carried away.”

Melina spoke first, lowering her head.

“I apologize… for reacting emotionally.”

Elisha nodded in agreement.

Professor Adria’s expression softened slightly as she heard their apologies.

“Good. But make sure this doesn’t happen again.”

“My students should treat each other with respect and consideration.”

Silence fell over the room at her firm words.

But then, her gaze shifted towards him.

“And Arnold.”

“Yes?”

She looked at him and raised an eyebrow.

“Could you… come with me for a moment…?”

“What is it?”

He asked, slightly puzzled.

“It’s… important…! Just come with me.”

She took his hand and pulled him towards the door, without further explanation. He followed her, bewildered.

“Master?”

“Professor, where are you taking him?”

Eilly, Melina, and Elisha looked at them with puzzled expressions.

Eilly, in particular, seemed about to step forward, her eyes narrowed. But Professor Adria, ignoring them, quickly led him out of the room.

As the door closed behind them, silence returned to the room. The three girls looked at each other, their suspicion and jealousy creating a palpable tension.
