Mars’s Guide to Capturing a 10/10 Alpha Male.

Step four:

“Hey, come with me.”

“…I haven’t eaten yet.”

“…A lunchbox?”

“What, you got a problem with that?”

Capture his stomach. Not literally, of course. Appeal to his appetite.

Chrono tilted his head, lunchbox in hand.

“Well, I’m more grateful than annoyed…”

Is cooking allowed in the dorms?

The answer was simple.

“They let me use the kitchen when I asked.”

“…Was it a ‘request’ (physical)?”

“Don’t eat it if you don’t want to.”

“Hey, who said I didn’t want to?”

“Thanks for the food.”

Chrono took a bite.

“…Store-bought bulgogi sauce.”

“…”

The reliable taste of a major corporation.

“These are… store-bought Vienna sausages.”

“…”

The reliable taste of a major corporation.

“…The beef patties are store-bought, too?”

“Fuck.”

Don’t eat it if you don’t like it. Mars reached out, but Chrono wasn’t about to give up the lunchbox.

“I like store-bought food. It’s reliable.”

“…Sorry I can’t cook.”

“It’s okay. As long as you don’t burn it, I’m happy.”

“So you had no expectations from the start?!”

“Bingo.”

“Ugh!”

She couldn’t deny the truth. Defeated by her lack of culinary talent, Mars slumped down. Chrono picked up a beef patty and offered it to her.

“Here, have some.”

“…I’m already full.”

“Did you eat something burnt?”

“…”

“Oh…”

It was written all over her face. Chrono ate the patty.

“Hmm… delicious!”

“…”

“The portion is a bit small, though.”

“I’m sorry!”

I’ll make it myself next time.

Meanwhile, Juno—

“Ther, here’s a lunchbox.”

“I have a lunch date with Merck… I can’t eat it.”

“…Oh… it’s okay.”

Two lunchboxes left uneaten. Juno returned to the classroom and stared at them dejectedly. Chrono approached.

“What are you doing? Why aren’t you eating?”

“Oh, um…”

“Is that a lunchbox? Did you make it for Ther?”

“…”

It was for Ther, but—

“No, I made it for you!”

“I’m taken, you know?”

“I know. It’s just a thank-you gift.”

“…If that’s the case, then I’ll accept it.”

Chrono sat next to her and opened the lunchbox.

“It looks very healthy. Lots of greens and oranges…”

“You shouldn’t be picky.”

“Are you my mom?”

“Want to call me Mommy?”

“H-Hey, Mama!”

“…”

Uh…

“…Forget it.”

“Pfft!”

Chrono ate everything. His stomach grumbled afterwards, which surprised him a bit.

“Ugh… maybe eating twice wasn’t a good idea…”

“…You already had lunch?”

“Yeah, but it felt like a waste to throw it away.”

“…”

It felt… strange. Her heart beat a little faster.

“What? Are you going to call me an idiot again?”

“…I’ll let it slide this time.”

“Thanks.”

Juno put the empty lunchbox in her bag. It felt incredibly light.

Mars’s Guide to Capturing a 10/10 Alpha Male.

Step five:

“Hmm? Juno’s joining us today?”

“What, do you have a problem with her?”

“Not really, but…”

Create opportunities to be together. As the saying goes, physical intimacy comes before emotional intimacy.

‘Mars said fighting brings people closer…’

That was Mars’s way. Juno decided to approach Ther in her own way.

“Ther, want some cake?”

Juno offered him a piece of cake.

“Is it good?”

“…It’s alright.”

“…”

She wondered if she was doing this right. Merck, who was sitting across from them, shouted,

“Ther! Me too! Me too!”

“This? Here, aaah~”

“Aaah~!”

“…”

Ther fed Merck a piece of cake. Juno watched them, wondering what to do.

“Hey, asshole! Share some, you stingy bastard!”

“Don’t you have hands? Eat it yourself!”

“No hands. No feet either.”

“Wow… this bitch…”

She heard the response from nearby. ‘…That approach won’t work.’ But maybe her own way would. Juno gathered her courage and approached Ther.

“Aaah~!”

“…Did you eat something weird?”

“…”

Why?

“Hmm~ Delicious! Thanks, Ther!”

“I can always buy you more.”

Merck and Ther stood up and left.

“…Why aren’t you following them?”

“…”

Juno stared at the empty table.

“…Go to the infirmary if you’re not feeling well.”

“!!!”

A blunt remark. Ther left with Merck.

“…Ha…!”

A burning sensation. Heat. Uncontrollable emotions. Juno kicked the floor repeatedly before standing up abruptly.

‘…Something cold.’

Like iced Americano. Juno ordered one at the kiosk.

“I’m still hungry.”

“Are you a pink monster who destroys the universe because someone stole your strawberry cake?”

“I’m hungry.”

“You’ll get fat.”

“I’ll gain weight in my boobs, so it’s fine.”

“…True.”

“…”

Juno spotted Chrono and Mars. She marched towards them.

“Chrono!”

“Oh! Hey, Juno?”

“Aaah~!”

“…?”

“Aaah~!”

“…Okay.”

He fed her a piece of cake. The sweetness made her feel a little better.

“Is it that good?”

“Yes… it’s delicious…”

“…Want another piece?”

“Yes!”

Aaah~!

The sweetness melted away the heat. It felt good. Peaceful. Warm. A sense of belonging.

Thump.

“…Huh?”

Her heart skipped a beat. A strong, unusual thump. She checked, but it subsided. How strange.

Mars’s Guide to Capturing a 10/10 Alpha Male.

Step six:

“Hey.”

“What?”

“They’re watching.”

“So what?”

“…”

Don’t be shy about PDA. Mars demonstrated this in real time. Chrono shivered as her arm pressed against his.

“Hey… what if I drag you to the bathroom and force myself on you?”

“I’d suck you off right here, right now.”

“Try it.”

“…But I’ll refrain for your sake.”

“You were trembling when we linked arms earlier.”

“I wasn’t!”

Her cheeks were red, and her ponytail trembled. Even after everything, she was still shy. If she was doing this on purpose, knowing it made her even cuter, then Mars was the perfect teacher for Juno.

The problem was, Mars acted purely on instinct. She couldn’t teach anyone anything.

“Hey, Ther! I bought new earrings! Are they cute?”

“Cute enough to be by my side.”

“Heehee… Ther complimented me!”

“…”

His gaze was fixed elsewhere. Juno mustered her courage and linked arms with Ther, but his eyes remained on Merck.

‘This isn’t working.’

She was learning. From Merck. Love was something you fought for. Affection was something you pulled towards you. Passivity wouldn’t change anything. Juno decided to take a gamble.

“Ther… do you remember when you confessed to me?”

“…”

“I was so happy that I still dream about it every night.”

“…Juno.”

Ah, finally.

Ther turned to her and said,

“Don’t say things like that when Merck is around.”

“…”

He tried to pull his arm away. Juno held on tighter.

“I’m your girlfriend, right?”

“Yes, you are. Are you trying to assert your rights as my girlfriend?”

“This isn’t about rights…!”

“Sigh…”

Ther sighed deeply. Juno was speechless. Who was supposed to be sighing here? She wanted to slap him. She was the one who’d been holding back, and this was how he reacted to a single sentence?

“Juno, I have a duty to create a harem.”

“…Ther.”

What was he talking about?

“Don’t worry. I’ll love everyone equally in due time.”

“…”

Juno didn’t respond. It wasn’t worth it. She released his arm.

“I’m glad you understand.”

“…Ther.”

As Ther walked away with Merck, Juno said calmly,

“You’ll never have a harem.”

“…What do you mean?”

A harem. A man with multiple women. But if there was a prerequisite, it was—

“—You don’t even understand how your current girlfriend feels.”

Juno turned and left.

“Wait! I didn’t mean it like that…! Dammit, my strategy is falling apart…!”

Ther watched her go, frustrated. He sighed and noticed Chrono and Mars sitting on a nearby bench.

“…You again?”

He approached Chrono.

“It’s you, isn’t it? The one putting weird ideas in Juno’s head.”

“…”

Chrono stared at him and asked,

“Juno cheers up quickly even if you upset her a little, doesn’t she?”

“…What are you trying to say?”

“Nothing. It’s just…”

It was obvious.

“…Since she doesn’t usually get upset, when she does, it means a lot to her.”

“…Stay out of it. And stay away from Juno.”

“You stay away from my girlfriend, asshole. If you ruin Mars’s grades, I’ll hold you responsible.”

“Tsk… you and your girl… I’ll make you kneel before me someday!”

Ther left with Merck, presumably to continue their date. Trying to salvage the situation, I guess. That attitude was important, but…

‘…NTR event.’

This always happened in situations like this. Chrono turned to Mars.

“What are you looking at?”

“Can I go somewhere for a bit?”

“Because of Juno?”

“Yeah.”

If I left her alone, she’d get NTR’d. Or rather, if I remembered correctly, she’d be assaulted by some random student and eventually give in. It was bad either way.

“You’re going even if I tell you not to, right?”

I asked Mars,

“Wouldn’t it be more disappointing if I said I wasn’t going?”

“…That’s my man!”

Mars grinned.

“Cheating is fine, but I’m having his baby first.”

“…Oh.”

Technically, Ur-noona was first, but I didn’t say anything. I had that much tact.

Ther views the world as a game, others as NPCs that follow a script, and himself as the protagonist of the world that revolves around him. This could explain why he doesn’t understand Juno. He says he sees her as an NPC instead of a person. Plus, Ther is a transmigrator like Chrono. He is not the same childhood friend that Juno grew up with.

Ther ISN’T a transmigrator, he’s a regressor, that’s part of the problem(for him anyway): the “original game” was designed full of traps that you can only consistently avoid after many playthrougs(while Ther is essentially a noob in his second playthrough), on the other hand this makes him even more of a jerk for treating people like NPCs

Simply put he takes Juno for granted and is too egocentric to notice other people’s feelings, Juno is already his girlfriend so she’s already “conquered”(not really since you need max affection for her to allow harem, but Ther doesn’t know that since he can’t see the affection system), this is why he fearlessly flirts with the next girl right in front of Juno
