“Chronos! You bitch!”

In front of Chronos’s temple, Zeus, the King of the Gods, pounded on the door with a lightning bolt in his hand.

“Can you handle it?! The predetermined ending, the ‘future arrangements’ to avert it, the terror of the day when everything crumbles and nothing can be foreseen!”

He screamed and roared, but his voice didn’t reach.

Time cannot be grasped.

It exists, but it cannot be touched.

One can regret and fear from afar, ignore and dismiss, but it cannot be reversed or hastened. It is merely the process towards a predetermined future.

“You bitch! My Apostle will not forgive you! If you’re clinging to past glories, I’ll tear down your throne again, Chronos!”

Zeus declared his revenge, vowing never to let this happen again. At his furious roar, Chronos, the steadfast God of Time, finally rose to meet him.

“You’re noisy. You disturb my rest.”

Why don’t you just leave?

Chronos’s nonchalant words and shameless demeanor infuriated Zeus.

“Do you… Do you not realize what you’ve done?”

“What’s the problem? The future war is for the human children to fight, not us.”

“You… you disregarded my arrangements!”

“Oh? Arrangements, you say? How amusing.”

Chronos spoke with a mocking tone.

“You call a fool who can’t even embrace the woman beside him, who only consoles himself with the thought that she is his, your ‘arrangement?'”

Well,

Maybe it was accurate in a way.

“He takes after you.”

“You… bitch!”

Crackle!

A fierce lightning bolt, aimed to incinerate, dissipated before even reaching the temple gates.

“Zeus, calm yourself. At least when you turned me into a ‘she’ instead of a ‘he,’ your eyes were filled with the charisma and wisdom to rule the gods.

…But now, your eyes are filled with nothing but lust for a woman.”

“…I will crush you beneath me!”

“It is natural for a child to feel inferior to their parent. But Zeus, I prophesy this to you:”

As you are now,

You can never defeat my child.

“You’ve returned? That’s wonderful. But if you haven’t learned anything, you’ll merely repeat the same history.”

“…You think you’re different, don’t you?”

“At least, unlike you…”

When my genitals were cut off by you, I finally understood.

“…how you must have felt when you castrated your father.”

Empathy.

Compassion.

Understanding.

And acceptance.

Therefore, Chronos chose.

“I’ve accepted that my era is over, and yours has come.”

That’s why I yielded.

I resisted no more.

Even though I regretted becoming a woman, I held no animosity.

“Do you want proof? Then I must say this:”

My child,

I haven’t left this place since that day.

Moreover, my Apostle has never ‘initiated’ contact with your Apostles, with my other children.

“Ares’s child brought this upon himself. Hera’s child is your Apostle’s fault. Yet, to blame me for this? You’re a fool who doesn’t even know what’s beneath your feet.”

“I… Aaaaagh!!!”

Crackle! Boom!

Dozens, hundreds of lightning bolts rained down upon Chronos’s temple, but they all dissipated just short of the gates.

It was only natural. Not just any minor god, but a god of the previous generation.

A being of higher rank, imbued with greater power.

A mighty god whose rebellion succeeded only through the combined strength of all. Would such a being fall to Zeus’s lightning bolts?

“Go back. It pains me to see even a past version of my child’s unsightly form.”

“I won’t forgive you! I’ll crush and devour you and your Apostle!”

“…Hmm.”

Before returning to the temple, Chronos said,

“Do your best.”

“—!!!”

The temple gates closed.

Lightning bolts, curses, and insults poured down, but no one saw Zeus off as he returned.

“Sigh…”

Sitting on the throne, Chronos exhaled softly.

“…My child.”

My Apostle, my child who bears my name.

Chrono.

You, you are truly…

“…a blessing to me.”

*Chuckle*

“Ahahaha!”

Chronos burst into laughter, a display of levity never shown before the other gods.

Usually only wearing a bored smile, this outburst revealed Chronos’s true delight.

“Delightful! Truly delightful!”

Clapping and laughing uproariously.

The look on that guy’s face! The way he pretends to be something, trying so hard to look important… *Chuckle*

“Hilarious! Utterly hilarious!”

Forgiveness? Understanding? Acceptance? Don’t make me laugh.

How could I forgive the one who took my genitals?

Chronos smiled and cursed Zeus as he departed.

“You, too, will meet a fate similar to mine, no, an even worse one.”

Beyond losing your genitals,

Your path will be filled with only the worst hardships.

“Sigh… I think I’ll sleep well tonight.”

Chronos,

After all, was still Zeus’s father.

The conflict between Chronos and Zeus wasn’t limited to the heavens.

“I challenge you to a duel.”

“…Huh?”

A sudden duel request during lunch.

Chrono stared blankly at Ther, his spoon of seaweed soup frozen mid-air.

“If I win, you stay away from Mars.”

“…And if I win?”

“Ha! It doesn’t matter, because I’ll win anyway.”

“…”

What a dumbass.

Chrono turned his head away dismissively.

“Don’t ignore me!”

“…Ahem.”

Even if you tell me not to…

Chrono spoke calmly without looking at Ther.

“There’s no reason for me to accept your duel.”

“Ha! You loser. Mars is too good for you. Hand her over.”

“I told you, she’s not mine.”

“Are you afraid? Of me?”

“Terrified.”

“…”

“I’m so scared, look at this.”

His hand holding the spoon of seaweed soup was trembling.

“See? I’m shaking. I think my shoulder’s going to dislocate.”

“Y-You bastard!”

Ther lunged at Chrono.

Juno tried to stop him, but he was already enraged.

A classic case of anger management issues.

His hand was already crackling with lightning.

“What did you say?”

“! …Mars.”

Ther’s anger subsided in Mars‘s presence.

Anyway, moving on from this trivial matter,

“What did you just say?”

“…Haha! You saw it earlier, right? That loser was too scared of me to do anything.”

“Bullshit.”

“…”

Mars said,

“Just get lost. Don’t ruin a good day.”

“…You think that loser can protect you?”

“What? I protect myself. And I’ll protect him, too.”

“Ha! A coward hiding behind a woman!”

“…”

Mars, calm down.”

Whoa, whoa.

Don’t do that.

It’s no use.

Chrono stopped Mars from getting up. She looked at him for a moment before resuming her meal.

“…So, birds of a feather flock together, huh?”

Ther nodded knowingly. Was he finally going to leave?

[Sparring Request Form]

“…What the…?”

Ther pulled out a sparring request form. More precisely, a form to reserve the sparring arena.

“You know this week’s ‘Close Combat’ class assignment is sparring, right? You’ll need a partner.”

Can you still run away now?

“Yeah, I’ll find someone else.”

“…”

I don’t care about your assignment.

Why should I take on a risk with no reward?

Are you an elementary school bully? Picking on someone because you didn’t get what you want, trying to force them to play rock-paper-scissors with you? Winner takes all, loser gets nothing. A rigged game with only risks for me.

‘…But I swear I saw that assignment with Mars, too.’

Was I mistaken?

As I continued eating my soup, Mars stood up, seemingly unable to bear it any longer.

“Let’s spar, then.”

“! …I don’t want to fight you.”

“Why? Are you scared? Can’t even beat a girl like me?”

“…”

Well, wouldn’t he be scared…? He just got out of the infirmary…

He barely recovered from orbital and facial fractures, along with other injuries, thanks to you. It’d be strange if he wasn’t scared.

‘Look at his legs. They’re trembling like crazy.’

They were shaking so much that the spoon in my hand looked steady in comparison.

“Hey, hey, don’t be scared. I even beat this guy and crushed him. You think you can’t beat me? Right?”

“A-Aagh!”

Mars grinned and pressed down on Ther’s shoulder. He doubled over in pain, and she snatched the sparring request form he was holding.

“The next class is ‘Close Combat’, right? You’re in trouble now.”

“Ah, ah…”

No…!

Ther reached out too late.

Mars had already left.

He gritted his teeth and glared at me, and then…

“—! …H-Hahaha!”

Did he suddenly lose it?

He put on a (forced) courageous smile and declared,

“My Lord has shown me the light!”

“…?”

So, he received a quest?

“Today, I will defeat Mars and return her to where she belongs!”

“Oh, okay. Good luck.”

“…Don’t regret this later.”

“Those words… um…”

Chrono glanced behind Ther.

“Ther… again…”

‘…Whoa.’

Juno‘s expression was rapidly deteriorating. Seriously, just focus on capturing the main heroine first.

‘If it’s a quest…’

He hasn’t received the reward yet.

If he acted up after getting the reward, I’d understand, but to get cocky before even receiving it…

I sighed, already knowing what would happen.

Well, it’s his problem.

We went straight to class after that.

“Today’s lesson is sparring.”

The ‘Close Combat’ cadets gathered for sparring practice.

Chrono.”

“…What do you want?”

“Come on, are you even a man?”

“…Ugh.”

Mars seemed to need a victory spell. I gave her a light kiss and an [Encore Kiss].

She’d probably win without it, but just in case.

Mars, Ther, greet each other!”

“I look forward to sparring with you, Mars.”

“You’re gonna get your ass kicked.”

I watched their sparring match with slight nervousness.

The result was…

Thud! Crackle! Boom!

“Cadet Mars! Cadet Ther is already unconscious!”

“I know.”

“Cadet Mars!”

“He needs a bit more beating to learn his lesson.”

“—”

She stomped on him.

It was a sight that needed to be censored.

I love watching the interactions between the gods. I can’t wait to see Chronos exact revenge on Zeus and the other gods. It will be a glorious sight. I disagree with the notion that Chronos has a bad personality. As long as you’re on her side, she’s great. I can’t hate Thera anymore; he’s just an idiot at this point with zero self-awareness.

Zues is equally a loser just like Ter.

Trash thinks Mars is going to like a guy who treats her like some object. Why is Juno even with this guy? This moron has no common sense and is rude as hell.

Wow it seems Ther lost his importance since the translator didn’t even highlight his name like every other one
