Zhongli Chu’s fist flew towards me, with a blur in my vision.

The force behind it was palpable and a gale pressed against my face.

Still seated, I smirked and kicked the low table in front of me upwards.

Crash!

Dishes and platters went flying.

“What the…?!”

“Seems you’re in a hurry.”

Wham!

His fist smashed through the thick tabletop, splintering wood.

My improvised defense had worked better than expected.

He was clearly caught off guard.

Food and spilled wine splattered across his face.

I watched, with a smirk playing on my lips.

“Is that all you’ve got?”

“W-What…?!”

“You think a martial artist would be fazed by such a simple attack? Weren’t you eager to witness the skills I’d honed at Mount Hua?”

A man should keep his word.

My mocking tone fueled his anger.

His face turned crimson, a mask of fury.

“Y-You…!”

“Even a third-rate thug from a local dojo could dodge that.”

I stood up, continuing my taunts.

He roared, unable to contain his rage any longer.

“You brat!”

“Hahaha…”

“I’ll kill you!”

…If you’re capable.

I sized him up, still smirking.

He was a first-rate master, a formidable force within the Zhongli Clan.

‘Logically, a junior like me, who’s only been training for a little over a year, shouldn’t stand a chance.’

I chuckled.

But logic didn’t always apply.

And frankly, the idea of being judged by such mundane standards irked me.

A spark of defiance ignited within me.

‘Let’s see… just how far I can go.’

Shing!

He drew his sword, letting out an unintelligible yell as he charged.

It was a powerful attack, the kind that could easily take the life of a third-rate bandit.

Whoosh!

‘Slow.’

“…!”

I sidestepped effortlessly, leaving him lunging at empty air.

His eyes widened in disbelief.

He hadn’t expected me to dodge so easily.

‘He’s definitely stronger than Yoo Seong-ho from the Southern Peak Sect.’

I gauged his strength based on that single attack.

I then kicked at his wrist, aiming to disarm him.

Crack!

He barely managed to block my kick with his sword and his face contorted in anger.

“You…!”

“…”

“You insolent little…!”

“Hmm.”

I glanced around the room, now a chaotic mess.

Zhongli Wen was watching with an expectant look, clearly hoping his uncle would prevail.

‘…Where’s Ha-seol?’

I spotted her near the edge of the room, wringing her hands, worried about how to defuse the situation.

She didn’t seem to believe I could win.

As I watched her, Zhongli Chu launched another attack, a powerful, linear strike.

“The Zhongli Clan’s Hundred Victories Sword Technique! Let’s see you handle this!”

“…”

Whoosh!

It was a heavy, oppressive style, like wielding a broadsword.

The speed was impressive too.

It seemed to be a secret sword technique passed down through the Zhongli Clan.

‘I can’t deflect or dodge this without drawing my own sword.’

I drew my sword.

Shing!

Now that we were both armed, the fight became more serious.

His Hundred Victories Sword Technique pressed against me, a relentless barrage of attacks.

Sparks flew as our blades clashed.

“Hahaha! You can’t handle this, can you?!”

“…”

“A mere child like you, with only a year of training, can’t possibly withstand our clan’s secret technique…!”

“Hmm…”

He pressed his advantage, forcing me back.

He smirked, confident of his victory.

But as I parried his attacks, I started to see a pattern.

‘No, it’s more than that…’

Crack!

The walls of the room began to show signs of damage.

The Hundred Victories Sword Technique lived up to its name.

It was powerful and aggressive.

But…

‘This isn’t some secret, closely guarded technique.’

The floor vibrated beneath our feet. I continued my analysis as I was pushed back.

‘The Hundred Victories Sword Technique… it’s a technique designed by a master, but simplified for his descendants.’

I was certain of it.

Anyone with decent talent could grasp its essence just by observing it.

We exchanged dozens of blows.

Zhongli Chu, despite his initial momentum, was starting to tire.

‘He put too much power into his initial attacks. He’s already running out of steam.’

I sighed inwardly, watching him struggle.

I raised my sword.

Clang!

I deflected his attack, sending his blade off course.

“Ugh…!”

“…Tired already?”

“D-Don’t be ridiculous…!”

He gritted his teeth.

“It’ll only take ten more moves to finish you…!”

“…Is that so?”

“Y-Yes!”

I chuckled at his weak assertion.

“Perfect… I just so happen to have developed a new technique. Allow me to demonstrate.”

“…What?”

“Watch closely.”

Clang!

I pushed his sword aside with a powerful strike.

The sound of clashing steel reverberated through the room.

I pressed my attack, channeling my energy into each swing.

It was my turn now.

“W-What…?”

“What do you think? Familiar, yet different, wouldn’t you say?”

“You…!”

“I think I’ll call it… the Thousand Victories Sword Technique.”

I sneered, pushing him back with a flurry of attacks.

At first, he struggled to defend himself, unsure of what I was doing.

But as he experienced more of my strikes, he began to understand.

His face paled and his hand trembled.

“W-What kind of demonic…!”

“It seems you’re not in any condition to appreciate the techniques I’ve learned at the sect.”

“Impossible…! How can such a thing exist…!”

He cried out in despair.

I pushed him back to the edge of the room, near the large window.

The tables had turned.

I looked at him, raising my sword.

“…Let’s end this.”

“Ugh…!”

“Your spirit is already broken. This isn’t fun anymore.”

Analyzing his Hundred Victories Sword Technique had been entertaining for a while, but there was no point dragging this out.

I unleashed a series of attacks, variations on his own technique, pushing him further and further back.

Then, something incredible happened.

Slice!

“…!”

His eyes widened in disbelief as he looked at his sword.

Or rather, what was left of it.

“It’s over.”

“…”

“You’re finished.”

I smirked, glancing at the shattered fragments of his sword on the floor.

It was a reflection of his broken spirit, unable to withstand my onslaught.

He stared at me, with his hollow eyes.

I clicked my tongue and struck him in the abdomen with the flat of my blade.

Thwack!

He stumbled back, towards the window.

“Ugh…!”

“Go contemplate your defeat in the dirt. It suits you.”

I waved goodbye, with a mocking gesture.

Thud!

With a soft gasp, he tumbled out the window.

I was transmigrated as a common extra in a generic wuxia novel. "...I suppose I'll have to get stronger first before I can do anything at all." I refuse the fate of acting out like the original and ending up defeated by the protagonist. Silently, I gripped my sword.

This whole interaction seems a bit childish for a “smut novel”, it screams of shounen vibes

To me at least, this interaction seems like something straight out of a “reincarnated as a villainess” type smut novel, if viewed from the MC’s sister’s perspective … except without her being reincarnated (i presume).
