While a fierce battle was taking place at the villa owned by the imperial family,
On the other hand, a fierce battle also unfolded at the villa of the Branon family, which had been used as a hideout by the cult followers.
They absolutely couldn’t let them escape.
They had to annihilate them all at once.
That’s why the palace forces launched a surprise attack on the cult forces from all sides.
“They are the wicked group of heretics!”
“No prisoners! Execute them all immediately!!”
The previously dark space was instantly dyed red with torches.
Armed with sharp weapons and thick armor, the palace knights invaded the villa. As if to show what a merciless immediate execution was, they cut down every cult follower they saw.
It was beyond horrific.
The villa, which had boasted an elegant atmosphere, was defiled by a bloody massacre.
“Damn imperial bastards…!”
“Counterattack! Hurry and unleash the magical beasts!!”
Knights wielding mana blades slowly advanced. If they were pushed back helplessly like this, it would naturally end in a complete victory for the imperial knights.
In response, the cult followers deployed their secret weapon to deal with the desperate situation.
-Grrr!!
-Raaawr!!
The magical beasts, trapped in cages, were simultaneously released.
They were tamed with sorcery and turned into weapons.
Their ferocity was maximized as soon as they were released from their restraints.
The magical beasts, boasting massive physiques, charged like mad bulls.
The knights, who had been slicing through the cult followers, noticed them and raised their mana blades without hesitation.
It seemed they intended to confront them head-on.
“How dare the imperial maggots trample on the sacred altar where we worship the god? I will purify them all!”
A warrior wielding a sinister mace blocked the path of the advancing knights, leading the magical beasts.
He was clearly a heretic.
The grayish-black color rippling all over his body revealed that.
The warrior, clad in gray, swung his mace and knocked down the knights.
The mace, imbued with maximized monstrous strength, was comparable to siege weapons used in wars.
The knights ‘ formation crumbled whenever the clanging sound of shattering metal resounded.
“A filthy heretic. The power he has accepted from the heretic god… It’s utterly disgusting.”
At this rate, they would only suffer more casualties. They had to end the subjugation as quickly as possible.
The knights, repeating one step forward and one step back, received a signal and retreated.
A new force took their place.
Brave General Guidon.
One of the Seven Generals of Valtaria, who had been leading the subjugation, was deployed to the scene.
The knights, witnessing his dignified presence, shouted with cheers and were convinced of their unwavering victory.
The heretic wielding the blessing of the cult was like a terrible nightmare.
However, the Seven Generals of Valtaria, representing the empire, symbolized valor that vanquished nightmares.
The knight, known for being a force of a hundred men, raised his sharp sword and confronted the warrior wielding the mace.
“Are you one of the so-called Seven Generals? Then, you’ll be more than enough as a sacrifice,” the warrior said.
“Sacrifice… As expected, the cult followers are barbaric,” Guidon responded.
The warrior, clad in grayish-black, bared his teeth.
Guidon, intending to confront him, deployed his mana blade.
A vivid red color.
The mana blade was as red as a burning flame.
It was a mana blade imbued with the blessing of the Red Dragon that protected the empire.
The Seven Generals of Valtaria were all subordinates of Ludmilla, who had been bestowed the blessing of the Red Dragon.
That’s why, as subordinates of the guardian dragon, they could use a portion of the blessing.
“In the name of the Valtarian Empire and the Red Dragon, I will execute the wicked evildoer,” Brave General Guidon declared as he swung his red mana blade and charged at the heretic wielding the mace.
◇◇◇◆◇◇◇
The sight of the heretic indiscriminately breaking through walls and dashing was like watching a tank ravaging the battlefield.
He was targeting Elizaveta.
Edanant, who had been urgently tracking the heretic’s trail, saw through his intentions.
He absolutely couldn’t let him reach her.
Although numerous elites were guarding the Platinum Princess, the monster covered in gray-black metal was a being that far exceeded the norm.
There could be unforeseen variables. With that thought, Edanant heavily kicked the ground, narrowing the distance between him and the monster.
‘I can’t buy any more time. I have to cut off his life before his regenerative power returns…’
The reason Meiros had been unilaterally overwhelmed by Edanant until now was because he had suffered near-fatal internal injuries from being stabbed by Aldebaran’s blade.
That’s why, despite possessing an exceptional hardening ability, he couldn’t properly utilize it and ended up being pushed back.
It wouldn’t be long before the monster recovered.
Edanant aimed his gun at the joint between the leg and the knee of Meiros, who had been dashing at full speed.
-Kuheok!!
The small gap between the joints.
Edanant didn’t miss the weakness that wasn’t protected by the gray demon steel.
Meiros, whose joint had been torn apart, lost his balance and tumbled forward. He tried to get up somehow, but Edanant wouldn’t allow it.
“Huff…! Huff! Where do you think you’re running away to…” Edanant panted, lowering his head.
It was due to his prolonged lack of exercise.
His physical fitness was close to the bottom as he had been wrestling with paperwork all this time.
However, he still had the strength to pull the trigger.
He showered the monster, who had fallen forward with a barrage of bullets, shredding its legs to prevent it from escaping.
The monster uttered terrible screams each time, but Edanant paid no heed.
“Young Master Edanant!”
“We’ll assist you!”
Fortunately, help arrived just when he was struggling.
The holy knights of the Holy Kingdom rushed over and joined forces.
Although Zebeline’s request for additional assistance had unfortunately fallen apart due to the fierce opposition from the priests, the holy knight order that had been her escort participated in the subjugation instead.
The holy knights, armed with thick armor and divine power, were excellent forces, so Edanant gladly accepted their help.
“Capturing him alive is pointless, so just cut off his life. He’s a stubborn monster who won’t utter a word even if tortured.”
The holy knights deployed their pure white mana blades. It was a sword energy that manifested through the divine power granted only to the holy knights of the Holy Kingdom.
As expected of the holy knights of the Holy Kingdom, who were merciless towards cult followers, they tore apart Meiros’s tattered flesh without hesitation.
Along with the burning, pungent stench, the lump of flesh covered in metal was roasted.
-Graaaah!!
The monster was done for now.
Surrounded by the holy knights, even its final struggle would be impossible.
Turn into ashes and disappear.
That was the only retribution allowed for a heretic.
Not all heretics were vulnerable to divine power.
Only those who had defiled their souls with evil deeds by repeating cruel human sacrifices received the punishment of divine power.
In other words, a heretic whose entire body burned from divine power was an evildoer who deserved to die.
“O God! O God-!! Please protect this little lamb! I can’t die like this, burned to ashes! Not before we incarnate our god in this cursed world… Graaaah!!”
Meiros, whose gray-black metal that had covered him like an exoskeleton had also been eroded, twisted his blood-soaked body and took out something.
A peculiarly tainted ore.
It was the same as the gem on the earring received by Elizaveta’s dedicated maid.
However, unlike the earring’s gem, which had its emission thoroughly sealed, the ore Meiros held up and exuded immense power.
It was scattering a precarious radiance like a bomb about to explode.
-Whoosh──!!
The Essence of Another World.
It was a medium that drew out a god’s blessing to an extreme degree.
An ominous sense of crisis struck Edanant’s mind. He hurriedly raised his gun, intending to shatter the ore grasped in the monster’s hand.
However, the moment the Essence of Another World was activated, it happened faster than the bullet.
A massive torrent swirled like a whirlpool, engulfing everything nearby.
Witnessing the gray-black wave, Edanant swung Aldebaran and shielded the holy knights from being swept up by the torrent.
◇◇◇◆◇◇◇
Elizaveta, who had safely escaped the villa, moved with Rue under the protection of the knights.
Consecutive booms echoed.
Indeed, they were engaged in a fierce battle with the blood-soaked heretic.
Would Edanant be alright?
She recalled the image of the man confronting the monster while raising his holy sword.
She wanted a firm conviction in victory, but the opponent was a heretic with numerous notorious reputations.
That’s why Elizaveta showed fear with a pale complexion. If something terrible were to happen to Edanant, it felt as if her heart would crumble.
“This way, Your Highness. Let’s hurry,” Cecilia, who had been securing the path at the front, turned her head and said.
“…Okay,” Elizaveta responded, tightly grasping Rue’s lovely little hand.
“It’ll be fine; it’s Edan, after all!” The green-haired girl smiled and comforted her as if sensing the anxiety expressed in her inner thoughts.
Elizaveta smiled, trying her best to accept the comfort.
No matter how much she expressed her anxiety and fidgeted, the situation wouldn’t change.
Like the brazen girl, she decided to believe in Edanant and wait.
“Protect Princess Elizaveta! Something is coming!!” a knight shouted.
When the Princess was about to shake off her fear and embrace hope,
The “promised death” arrived.
The cruel and ruthless malice that had declared a miserable end to the villainous Princess Elizaveta.
A viciously twisted monster blocked the path of the Princess’s entourage as they were moving to the hideout, exhaling rough breaths.
“Where are you going, Princess Elizaveta? I will treat you to the glory of sacrificing yourself to incarnate a god.”
“If that happens, you will obtain eternal life as a vessel containing divinity.”
The monster, covered in metal, spoke in Dagilec Branon’s voice.
As the polite voice of the young man flowed out from the hideous appearance, Elizaveta screamed and stepped back.
The gray-black metal covers its entire body.
It was filled with huge stakes protruding like thorns.
Moreover, the Essence of Another World was on the monster’s chest, emitting a massive torrent.
“Don’t back down!”
“We will confront it, so quickly escort Princess Elizaveta…!”
Meiros, who had activated the Essence of Another World at the brink of death, had been perfectly resurrected.
And he had even gained an even more immense blessing.
That’s why, even though numerous knights aimed their mana blades and confronted him, Meiros showed a relaxed demeanor.
He was confident that no sword energy could cut through his solid bio-armor.
“How dare you wag your tongue, claiming safety?”
A red-stained mana blade struck the hand of Meiros, who had been targeting Elizaveta.
Clang-!!
Sparks flew as the metal was cut.
Although it didn’t completely sever it, it was enough to make Meiros step back. He showed surprise as if he hadn’t expected his significantly hardened bio-armor to be penetrated.
Knight-General Cecilia.
The empire’s female knight raised the tip of her sword and blocked the heretic.
If she were to die in place of the noble Princess, she would be recorded as a model for knights.
Cecilia drew out the red dragon’s sword energy to the maximum, intending to fight to the death.
“You ignorant wench, not knowing your place. How dare you, with your measly body, try to obstruct the incarnation of a god…! I will tear off your limbs until your life is cut off.”
The monster, boasting overwhelming pressure, leaped high as if defying gravity.
Solid hardness.
A weight heavier than any metal.
Meiros utilized them all to sweep away the knights blocking his path.
And he reached out his hand, intending to kill even the tiny fairy who had been used in the cowardly ambush and abduct the beautiful Platinum Princess.
“Edan! Edan-!!”
The malice, perfected by the Essence of Another World, was pouncing.
They would all die.
Or perhaps suffer a fate worse than death.
Elizaveta, who had been led by the knights, let out a scream of terror.
She instinctively realized that she would ultimately meet a miserable end at the hands of the hideous monster in front of her.
She froze.
Her feet wouldn’t move at all.
As if shackles of fear and a bit of terror had been put on her.
In place of the Princess, the tiny fairy shouted sharply.
“Of course.”
The man appeared, tearing through the darkness.
And he kicked the face of Meiros, covered in metal, with all his might.
-Clang!
A loud boom resounded.
Although he failed to neutralize it, he successfully gained the upper hand for the initiative.
Meiros gasped in shock as if he hadn’t expected the man to chase after him like a leech.
“H-How! You were engulfed by the Essence of Another World, so how are you unscathed!”
Unless you’re the same kind as us…!
“There’s nothing impossible in this world,” Edanant answered the heretic’s question calmly, wielding Aldebaran and blocking Elizaveta’s path.
And he made a solemn vow.
It was to comfort Elizaveta, who was facing an extreme state of panic.
“It will be alright. No matter what happens.”
It was filled with an unwavering will to protect her.
It was like watching a knight from a fairy tale confronting an evil dragon to protect a beautiful princess.
Elizaveta slightly nodded at those words.
“Even if it’s a fate determined to be a tragic end… It will never be able to harm you, Princess. Isn’t that right, since I’m here?”
Defying a predetermined fate.
That is called “going against the heavens.”
Edanant chose to go against the heavens to save the villainous Princess who had been given a tragic fate.
If he were to incur the wrath of the world’s will because of his decision, then so be it.
“I’ll believe in you…. I’ll believe in you, Edanant…! So win! Win for me, Edanant! It’s an order and a request from your Princess!”
“Yes.”
Edanant’s eyes began to flicker like black gunpowder.
Also,
The blade of Aldebaran, which had been a vivid purple, was now dyed a brilliant golden color.
The blessing that had not fully awakened until now was opening its eyes.
It wasn’t just Meiros who was influenced by the Essence of Another World.

Damn! Cliff hanger
Let’s go!!!
