“What took you so long?”

As the carriage arrived at the mansion, Aurora, who had been anxiously waiting for me in the garden, approached with a bright smile.

Lana hopped down from the driver’s seat and stood next to Aurora.

A knight boarded the carriage and took the reins. The carriage slowly disappeared behind the mansion.

“I had some personal business to attend to. Why are you out here? What about our guest?”

“I ran away because your guest was bothering me too much. It’s all your fault, Delta, for always wandering around instead of staying at the castle.”

Aurora grumbled.

“What did she do?”

“You already know who came to visit, right? Lana told you.”

“Yes. Lady Minerva, isn’t it?”

“That’s right, it’s Minerva. Even though I’m a smooth talker, I’m no match for her. She’s lived for much longer, she’s more experienced, and she’s much smarter than me.”

Although she didn’t look it, Minerva was an archmage who had lived for 400 years. Aurora, who was barely in her early twenties, couldn’t possibly outwit Minerva with words.

“At first, it was just a normal conversation, but as you took longer and longer to return, the topic somehow shifted to my first time.”

“That’s… impressive.”

“Well, it was too late when I realized it. She teased me so much that I ran away, saying I’d wait for you outside.”

Aurora shook her head as if exasperated.

“Did she really tell you everything we did?”

Aurora’s expression, which had been one of exasperation, instantly turned bright red at my question.

“N-Not… really. Just that… you and I… had sex… and… if it felt good… or something? Honestly, it’s a bit embarrassing to share all the details with someone else, isn’t it?”

She stammered, her words jumbled.

It was true that her first time, where she had been so overwhelmed with pleasure that her face had completely relaxed while being penetrated by Lana, and had even leaked fluids at the end, wasn’t something she would readily share with others.

Lana was an exception, of course.

“Anyway, I’m glad you’re back. If you hadn’t come, I would have had to go back to the drawing-room and…”

Suddenly, a blue orb appeared in front of Aurora and began to blink, circling us clockwise. It was an orb of pure mana.

“Lady Minerva must have made that, right?”

“Of course. It seems like she’s telling you to stop talking and bring me to her quickly. She’s in the drawing-room, so just go there.”

“Just me?”

“I would just have to come back out anyway. She said it was something she needed to discuss with you privately.”

“Understood.”

Was it about the scroll, something that ordinary people shouldn’t hear?

I nodded and was about to walk towards the mansion when I stopped and turned around.

“My Lady.”

“Hmm? What?”

“Lana told me that you haven’t been able to sleep well lately. You should take it easy. You’ll get sick.”

“What are you talking about? Why wouldn’t I be able to… sleep…”

Aurora, realizing the meaning of my words, instantly blushed crimson. A stammered “W-What?” escaped her slightly parted lips.

Lana, standing next to her, was equally flustered.

She clearly hadn’t expected me to tell on her like that. Her mouth was agape, and she was staring at me with a look of betrayal.

I turned around after confirming that Aurora was glaring at Lana.

A woman’s cry of anguish echoed from behind me, “How much did you tell him?!” And Lana’s flustered voice followed.

Having taken a small revenge on Lana, I headed towards the mansion’s drawing-room.

Aurora had been caught in the crossfire, but since she was the one who had taught Lana those jokes, it was her own fault.

“Welcome, child.”

Minerva was sitting in the drawing-room. Just as before, her long white hair cascaded down her back, and she was wearing a bathrobe that looked like it was about to fall open.

Minerva gave me her characteristic archaic smile. The bathrobe, precariously perched on her chest, slipped slightly. A flash of pink was visible through the gap.

“It’s been a while, Lady Minerva.”

I returned her greeting and was about to sit down when Minerva shook her head.

Then, she patted the spot next to her on the sofa with her hand. It was a gesture telling me to sit there.

When I asked with my eyes if she was serious, she nodded firmly as if asking wasn’t it obvious? The sound of her patting the sofa echoed again.

I hesitated for a moment and then sat next to her. I didn’t have a choice anyway. As if she had been waiting for me to sit down, a small plate and a teacup appeared, and a teapot floated in the air, pouring tea.

“Indeed. It has been a while.”

Minerva said, taking my right hand.

I wondered what she was going to do, and she placed my hand on her thigh. A soft, warm, and supple sensation spread through my palm.

My wrist was pulled further inwards. Now my hand was slipping beneath her bathrobe. My entire palm was enveloped in a warm, soft sensation.

Minerva finally stopped after pulling my hand all the way to her pubic bone.

“How have you been?”

“……Why are you doing this as soon as we meet?”

I tried to pull my hand away, but it wouldn’t budge, as if it had been magically fixed in place. All I could feel was the soft sensation of her inner thigh.

“This is a small token of gratitude for your gift, child.”

“This?”

“You have entered a place that has been forbidden to everyone for 400 years. Isn’t this a wonderful reward?”

“…….”

Minerva crossed her legs, ignoring my bewildered expression. Her thighs gently squeezed my hand.

“Where did you find that scroll, child?”

It was a question I had anticipated, so I ignored the sensation of her thighs against my palm and explained what had happened in the ancient ruins.

Of course, I omitted the parts related to Fetch. Knowing Minerva’s personality, it wouldn’t be surprising if she captured Fetch and “persuaded” her to reveal the locations of other ancient ruins.

Minerva nodded slightly after hearing my explanation.

“Ancient ruins…… So there was a scroll in such a place.”

“Didn’t you say you searched the entire continent with magic before?”

“My search was limited to the mana wavelengths emitted by scrolls. It wouldn’t be appropriate for a mage of my stature to travel around on foot, would it? And I wasn’t interested in scrolls that weren’t ancient scrolls.”

The reason why scrolls kept appearing all over the continent despite Minerva having thoroughly searched it was simply because she wasn’t interested in them.

She genuinely hadn’t been able to find any ancient scrolls, and she had ignored the other scrolls even after finding them.

It was the lore explanation for why scrolls could be found everywhere despite the Eternal Mage having searched the entire continent.

“Did you really come all the way here just to thank me?”

My hand was still between Minerva’s thighs, so close that if I extended my fingers just a little further, I would touch the crevice between her legs. I couldn’t pull it away no matter how hard I tried.

“Of course not. I came to share the results of my research with you, child.”

“The results of your research… you mean the Crystal Scroll?”

“Since you found it for me, you should be the first to know. I haven’t even told Cecilia yet, so you can be happy. You’re the second person on this continent to see that magic, after me.”

I already knew about the magic created from the Crystal Scroll, but I obediently nodded. Minerva looked so proud that I didn’t want to ruin the mood.

There was also a possibility that it might be different from what I had seen in the game. Minerva coming here in the first place was already different.

Minerva smiled and removed my hand from between her thighs.

“Now then, let’s go, child……?”

Then, she suddenly frowned. I was also puzzled.

Why was she making that expression all of a sudden?

Minerva, after frowning for a moment, spoke in a slightly irritated tone.

“It seems something has happened at the Imperial Palace. I apologize for changing my plans, but would you mind postponing our trip to the magic tower, child?”

“Of course. I don’t mind.”

If something had happened at the Imperial Palace, dealing with it was the top priority. Besides, judging from Minerva’s expression, it had to be something serious.

“Thank you.”

With those words, we were suddenly transported to a hallway in the Imperial Palace. There wasn’t even a magic circle or a flash of blue mana. Her casting speed had become incredibly fast.

‘……Is this also a result of her research?’

While I was still bewildered, Minerva strode forward. Several mages, cloaked in robes, were standing right in front of us. They seemed to be the ones who had contacted Minerva.

The mages, hearing our footsteps, turned their heads. Their pale faces brightened at the sight of Minerva.

“What happened?”

“The Knight Commanders suddenly……!”

Before the mage could finish their sentence, a loud crash echoed from the other end of the hallway. A fierce shout followed.

Minerva’s expression hardened.

Minerva teleported the mages to safety and quickly walked down the hallway. I followed her, gripping the sheath of Wingless Nightmare with my left hand.

The shouting grew louder. We were almost there. We turned a corner, and the scene unfolded before us.

A large man in golden armor was standing in the middle of the hallway. Silver and gold armor clashed chaotically as they filled the hallway, blocking both ends.

Everyone had their weapons drawn.

Iris was at the forefront. Lize was next to her, and Claudia and Erica were on the opposite side. Iris’s voice boomed from within her helmet.

“You’ve gone mad, Knight Commander! I tried not to interfere with how you handled your subordinates, since it was another Knight Order’s business, but killing them without authorization is a different matter!”

‘Killing?’

It was a word that couldn’t be ignored. Minerva, sharing my thoughts, frowned even deeper.

“With such weak skills, you cannot protect Her Majesty. If we cannot protect Her Majesty, our honor is tarnished. It is better to die by my hand than to live with tarnished honor. What is wrong with that?”

In contrast, the voice of the knight in golden armor was incredibly calm. It was so devoid of inflection that it sounded strangely unnatural.

“Weak skills? Ha, have you forgotten what happened when you came to the castle to monitor us, and got beaten by our rookie?”

“That is true. But things are different now.”

The knight in golden armor calmly accepted even Lize’s taunt. His voice was still monotone.

It was slightly different from the game, but I immediately understood what was happening.

‘So it’s finally happened.’

It was the Golden Twilight Knight Commander’s transformation event.

I was lured by an invitation email to the beta test of the sequel to the game I’ve been playing for the past 10 years. To my surprise, all the mods I’ve installed over the years were still there. Everything from enemy enhancement mods to NPC gender swap and appearance retouching mods were intact. Even mods for changing the characters’ outfits were still in place. *Takes inspiration from Sekiro + Soulsborne series.

Some of these sentences make no sense aurora wasn’t penetrated by Lana and “did she really tell you everything you did” should be “did you really tell her everything you did”.
